Cars take a truck ride toward the blizzard

Today I drove to Anchorage to pick Margie up from babysitting the grandsons and bring her home. It is two minutes before midnight here in Alaska and I am just now getting to the point where I can pay attention to this blog, so all I am going to do is post this picture of these cars riding this truck toward the blizzard.

At least the radio said it was a blizzard. I did not encounter a blizzard. There was plenty of snow blowing around, but not a blizzard. When I got to Anchorage, though, everbody swore it had been a blizzard earlier. Lavina said that when she went outside, she couldn't see anything in front of her, nothing at all.

So maybe.

I must go back to Anchorage tomorrow. I don't think it is going to be practical for me to return to my Loft posts until the weekend. Then I hope to buckle down and complete the series fast.

I took this photo with my iPhone 4s. A couple of days ago, I posted seven iPhone photos. At least three readers reported that only one of the iPhone images showed up on their browsers, although other readers saw them all.

If this photo is not visible to you, or if it appears to you that some photos have been missing in any past posts, and if you only saw one of, or less than all the seven of iPhone photos that I posted on January 9, I would appreciate it if you would let me know and also inform me what browser you use, maybe computer, too.

Thank you.

Bill- I have been missing some photos in some posts but figured it was only me as I have an IE problem right now which I can't resolve (one of those have to reframe and rebuild the house to put that new window in dealies )
I only saw 1 pic in the Jan 9 post and in 3 other posts I had great blank patches here and there.
Surrounding text also indicated I was not seeing all the pics. This was in workshop posts 2 and 4 and your Jan 3 post - no Jobezilla pic!

I only see one picture of Shoshana (#2002), but the other blog entries seem to be fine. I am using Internet Explorer that came with Windows 7 on a Dell Optiplex 980.

I've been seeing all pictures. Using IE7 and Chrome.

Jan 3 - Jobezilla study # 54: He did not get to wreak havoc, is missing
Jan 4 - Loft 2 - The first picture is Skip Gambert's custom shirts and the second one is the cat on the outdoor windowsill; I am sure there are at least two missing in between.
Jan 6 - Loft 4 - the words, "and so she remains - a friend, Facebook and otherwise." are followed by a big white space, a whole screen of it, so it's obvious there is a picture missing. I have four angel Moroni's and It looks like there is at least one missing.
Jan 9 - As previously mentioned, the only picture in this is Shoshana #2002.

I'm using IE8 and Windows XP on a Novatech PC with 2GB wireless broadband.

Hi Bill, I see all of the photos on all of the posts. I'm using Safari 5.1.1 on an old MacBook Pro 2.16.

Great job, by the way, the photo quality is out of this world. Also, it's cold again...this should make you very happy!

I can see all 7 iphone photos, I use IE and a Gateway laptop.

I use IE7 and have a Dell. From where I sit, your pictures are swell.

Hi Bill - Once again, Martin's assessment (above) is identical to what I'm seeing or not seeing. The car carrier photo on this post shows up just fine. I'm on a Toshiba laptop, Windows 7, IE 8, Verizon FIOS underground fiberoptic Internet connection.

I think I'm seeing everything and I'm enjoying your new blog.

MacBook, OSX 10.6.8, Safari 5.0.5.

I talked to Shoshana today and she is using Internet Explorer. As far as I have been able to identify, everyone who is experiencing this problem has been using Internet Explorer. I will let my bloghost know and see if they can find some kind of patch, but, in the meantime, those of you are having the problem could try another Browser, like Safari or Firefox. I've noticed Firefox throws the color balance off, particularly noticeable in snow.

Your pics are all coming through and are all beautiful and crisp in color, using XP with Chrome, with 19' Acer monitor. I think the monitor makes a big difference in the brightness and color when viewing photos.

I've been seeing all the photos using Win XP and Firefox 9.01. But just now I fired up IE8 to test it out, and using it all but the second to last photo in the Jan 9th entry is missing (the one on this entry is visible though).

January 15, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDaisy

Yes, Daisy, I think your observation cements it - there is something incompatible between my blog and IE, especially IE 8, it seems.
